Adult Karate takes on many different forms:
Karate: Start as a beginner and advance forwards through the SKA England grading syllabus. Students will be taught all Kihon, Kata and Kumite techniques which are involved in traditional Karate. After years of training you may gain your black belt and this can lead to opportunities of coaching, officiating and instructing at your own Dojo. Karate is a life long journey and here at SKA England we promote discipline, respect, good ethos, ambition and motivation above all else.
Self-Defence: Self-defence is of utmost importance at SKA England, the ultimate aim of the martial art is that the participants train to be able to defend themselves first and foremost. Training for self defence include specific lessons focused on how to use your skills to stop an attacker. We use impact pads to train our style 'SHUKOKAI', and work towards, "One hit" which should suffice.
Fitness: Fitness is a major part of training at SKA England, we have focused fitness classes which aim to get the Karateka ready for anything. Fitness classes include Karate based circuits as well as drills and activities focused on working cardiovascular fitness. Try a class you might be surprised!
